Currencies, languages and countries
Currencies#
A merchant operates in one currency. To operate in several, TALOS creates one merchant per currency in the same group (same brand). The launch rejects any other currency with CURRENCY_NOT_ENABLED.
| Code | Currency | Decimals | Country (player default) |
|---|---|---|---|
BRL | Brazilian real | 2 | BR |
MXN | Mexican peso | 2 | MX |
ARS | Argentine peso | 2 | AR |
COP | Colombian peso | 2 | CO |
CLP | Chilean peso | 0 | CL |
PEN | Peruvian sol | 2 | PE |
USD | US dollar | 2 | — (no default country) |
Amount units#
| Where | Unit | Example (US$ 2.50) |
|---|---|---|
Wallet callback (amount, balance) | major unit | 2.5 |
| Operator API (transactions, GGR) | major unit | 2.5 |
Sportsbook SDK events (onBalanceChange, onBetPlaced) | minor unit | 250 |
CLP has no cents: 1500 is $1,500 in both representations.
Languages#
The launch lang field accepts the language code (pt, es, en) or a regional tag (pt-BR, es-MX). Without lang, the merchant default language applies; without one, pt.
- Sportsbook: Portuguese, Spanish and English. It uses only the language (
es-MX→es). The player can switch it in the sportsbook menu, and your site can switch it live withupdateOptions({ lang }). - Casino: the language is passed to the provider, which may have its own list of languages.
Player country#
The launch country field (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g. MX) tells the player country. Without it, the currency country applies (table above); with USD there is no country. An invalid code returns INVALID_COUNTRY.
In the sportsbook, the country puts the competitions of the player's country first in the navigation (regions, leagues and highlights).
